Each year since 2012, I have had the pure joy of walking in Brookfield’s 4th of July parade alongside many Joyful community members who sing, clap, wave, and hand out over 1,000 giveaways to the cheering families. It has been such a joy watching our community grow, and I could not be more grateful for their support! I mean, I could try to hand out 1000 giveaways alone, but pretty sure it wouldn’t be very graceful! 😂
We’d love for you to join us this year! Here are some basic details, and once you RSVP, we’ll send you everything you need to know.
We kick the morning off with a stroller decorating party at our home at 8:30 (just a couple blocks from our starting point.) |
We line up at 9:45 and march in the parade singing “If You’re Happy and You Know It” while I use my jumbo clappers to sing and clap along. We pass out 1000+ giveaways such as candy, flyers, & music.

That’s it! We are always happy to provide coffee and doughnuts (and a Bloody Mary if you need a little extra encouragement 😉) at the stroller decorating party. The parade starts at 10 AM sharp and lasts about an hour. We do ask that families who participate are able to have at least 2 adults (or older children) so that one parent can push the stroller and sing along while the other adult passes out the flyers.
This is a super fun event, but of course a huge part of it is spreading the word about Ms. Clara’s Mini Musicians to as many people in our community as we possibly can, so I cannot thank you enough for your support.
